Internship Requirements & Role Description

Eligibility Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Dual Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field 🔹 Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Go 🔹 Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design 🔹 Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, multi-threading, or synchronization is preferred
Application Timeline (Summer 2027):
India-based roles (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune): Applications closed 28 June 2026 🔹 US-based BS/MS roles: Went live July 2026, reviewed on a rolling basis — apply as soon as possible 🔹 Main SWE application window historically opens mid-October and closes within just 2–4 weeks — set a reminder to check careers.google.com weekly from September onward 🔹 STEP and other tracks: Expected to open through August–October 2026
Competition Level:
Google reportedly receives thousands of applications per day, with community estimates placing the acceptance rate near 2–5%. Applicants may submit up to 3 applications every 30 days from their first application date, though Google recommends focusing on one strong, well-matched application rather than spreading efforts thin.
